Beit Midrash Elul
Elul is an egalitarian Beit Midrash whose name is derived from the words of the “voice of God,” which according to the Talmud intervened in the conflict between Beit Hillel and Beit Shamai, proclaiming that “both these and those are the words of the living God.” And accordingly, since it was established, Elul has given expression to the diverse voices within Israel out of a belief that all are worthy of being heard. Elul offers many different kinds of programs: Beit Midrash of Jewish Renewal in Jerusalem, Learning Communities throughout Israel. Elul also sponsors one-time study sessions, seminars, tours, and Kabbalat Shabbat programs in Hebrew, English, and Russian for groups from Israel and abroad, as well as professional development opportunities for teachers and facilitators and study groups for business executives and artists
